Join Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 637 in Oshawa on November 11 for a parade that begins at the armoury, located at 53 Simcoe St N at 10:30 a.m. and ends with a service at the cenotaph in Memorial Park at 11 a.m. The service will include the laying of wreaths, hymns, prayers and a moment of silence. You can support the Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Campaign by making a donation at one of 27,000 traditional poppy boxes. For the third year, there will also be “Tap and Give” electronic boxes at many legion branches, HSBC locations and some retail locations. Donors can tap to make a $2, $5 or $10 donation. Donations can also me made online at legion.ca, Funds donated across the country during the national Poppy Campaign support veterans and their families, close to $20 million is raised each year.

There is also the option to dedicate a digital poppy through mypoppy.ca and share it on social media. Funds raised go to the The Legion National Foundation.
