1. Attend Whitby’s Family Day Event

Make memories during the Town’s Family Day event on February 20. Join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Iroquois Park Sports Centre for face painting, a balloon artist, music, and more! 2. Enjoy a Free Skate

Come and enjoy one of the Town’s skating rinks this Family Day! Lace-up your skates and have fun with your family and friends. For more information and to see the full schedule, visit whitby.ca/FamilyDay.

3. Go For a Free Swim

Take a dip in the pool. Anne Ottenbrite Pool at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre is open for swimming this Family Day from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit whitby.ca/swim.

4. Enjoy Dinner as a Family

Can’t decide what to make for dinner this Family Day? Support local by ordering from one of Whitby’s many restaurants. Don’t forget to check out the Whitby food guide for some delicious options.

5. Read as a Family

Embrace your inner bookworm and spend the day reading as a family. A reminder that all Whitby Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 19 and Monday, February 20. Book returns remain open. Visit whitbylibrary.ca for access to digital content and program information.

Holiday Service Changes

Town Hall and Garden Street Branch phone services will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 17 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21. The following Town Facilities will also be closed on Monday, February 21: Whitby Civic Recreation Complex (CRC) Health Club, The Brooklin Community Centre and Library (BCCL), and Whitby 55+ Recreation Centre. BCCL is also closed on Sunday, February, 19.

Waste Collection

There is no waste collection service on Monday, February 20. Garbage, green bin, and blue box collection will be moved forward one day after your regular pick-up day. To confirm your collection pick-up day, check the waste collection calendar or download the Whitby Waste Buddy app.
