3 Fun Facebook Messenger Features

We all know how beneficial Facebook is at helping us stay connected with others. Whether your goal is to stay in contact with friends, share content, or meet new people in groups, Facebook has got you covered.

Recently, I have been playing around with the Facebook Messenger features and found some really cool features I didn’t know existed on the Facebook Messenger app! They may not be new features but I’m sure not that many people knew about at least one of these because a lot of my friends had no clue when I showed it to them, either. So, here are three fun Facebook messenger features!

Changing Chat Colours

First, Click the (i) button on the top of your Facebook Messenger.

From there, you will open the Chat setting menu. Here, you click Color

From here, a whole list of colours appear!

You can change the colours for each individual person you chat with. I think this is especially helpful when differentiating between chats. Sometimes, I don’t even look at the names of who I am chatting with and can just tell by the colour of the chat.

Pretty neat, huh?

 

Changing Chat Emoji

The second feature I learned recently is that you can change the little Emoji in your chat! If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, I’m referring to the little Thumbs Up in the bottom right corner of your chat. How many people actually still use the Thumbs Up, anymore? Now you are able to make it whichever emoji you’d like!

You go to the Settings Menu, again, and click Emoji this time.

From here, you are given list of emoji’s that you can use to replace the thumbs up!

How convenient is that?

My best friend and I use the Cry-Laughing emoji all the time—so instead of searching for it, it is conveniently there in the bottom corner for us.

 

Facebook Chat Basketball Game

Did you know Facebook has a hidden Basketball game within Messenger now? I was in amazement when I first learned this a couple of days ago!

Simply send a friend the Basketball Emoji and Click on it.

From here, you will be transferred to a secret Basketball Mini Game Facebook has created to celebrate March Madness!

How cool is that?

Simply just flick the ball towards the hoop to try to score a basket! If you get more than 10 in a row, the net starts moving, making it more difficult but so much more addicting to play!

Facebook even added emoji’s to the game. If you get a basket, you will see a happy emoji. If you get an air ball, you get sad emoji’s. How awesome is this? I’m surely going to be playing this more when I’m bored.
