It's A Great Big World
Airport Transportation: There’s an App for That
When you arrive at your destination’s airport, you know the drill. The aim is to get out of the airport quickly and get started on your holiday. The question is, do you take a taxi, the train or is there a shuttle or bus service? Which one is quicker? A taxi can be the most expensive option and also the slowest but how do you know for sure? Well, of course, there’s an app that helps you make informed decisions, and quickly.
Download the Airport Transportation Guide and you will have all the information you need about ground transportation at the airport right at your fingertips and in one convenient location. For around 160 airports, the app shows you the different transport options available at the airport, where the transport takes you, how long it takes to get there and how much it will cost. It shows you all of this on one screen so you can make a decision within seconds.
Once you have made your decision, you can find more information and be taken to the appropriate website to make reservations and buy tickets. The app works both offline and online, although you will need to be online if you want to make purchases.
You can create a list of favourite airports and you can also display nearby airports without having to search for them. There is one slightly small problem with the app; you do have to buy the guides for some of the airports. It’s only a slightly small problem because the guides are very inexpensive and great value, especially when you consider how much you can save by taking a train over a taxi because you have all of the information. The World Airports Pack costs $3.99 or for $1.49 each, you can unlock the following regions: Europe, North America, Asia & Oceania and South America & Africa. There are airport guides that come free with the app.
Currently the app is only available in the app store.
