If you’re looking for a fun new way to spice up your makeup looks, why not try a thirty-day makeup challenge?

I’m currently in school for hairstyling, and to expand my knowledge of makeup. My makeup teacher told my class the other day about a thirty-day challenge she’s doing and I thought it’d be a good idea for anyone else looking to expand their makeup repertoire, practice new looks, or just try a fun challenge.

The idea is that you join this challenge by doing your makeup to fit the theme of that day, and you post it on social media (but no one says you have to), and check out the looks others came up with for that day’s theme. You can do it all thirty days, just do a few that you find fun, or even try one. I think it’s a fun way to get new ideas for makeup, because even if you do want to try something new, sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. You could use this as an inspiration to challenge yourself to practice some of your makeup skills, or use some of your products you haven’t touched in a while.

Some of the themes that have already passed are wild liner, bold lips, and signature look. All three of those have so much versatility in what you could do. There’s so many more amazing ideas on the rest of the list too.

I moved this past weekend, so I haven’t joined the challenge yet, but I hope to start tomorrow. If you decide to join the challenge you should look at Kelly Babcock’s looks on Instagram because she’s having a giveaway for people involved in the challenge. Her Instagram handle is @kbabmakeup. She has the list of themes posted in her Instagram pictures.

Get your brushes ready and join the fun! I know I will be.
