Each year the much anticipated Summer Music line-up is a source of discussion, anticipation and debate amongst annual concert goers.  In 2020 Pickering moved the series online, expanding the audience from 10,000 attendees per season to almost 10 times that number, with guests on the online platform commenting from around the world.

Staff started the year with two aims: 1) make summer concerts reflective of all Pickering residents; and, 2) assist in the development and promotion of local talent, making online concerts possible for bands who had not been able to perform in the past. The group reached out through trade and local cultural magazines to achieve the goal, and deliver the 2021 line-up for residents and guests.

In 2021 – the line-up is here, and it is extraordinary.  Bands were selected from over 150 applicants, and includes a mix of genres, styles and periods that are unprecedented in the history of the series. This year the series kicks off with a three concert weekend July 2-4. The concerts will take place each week on Facebook

For those of you looking for summer music this weekend – get your backyard speaker out, and get ready for an incredible weekend of sound.
