Oshawa Summer Camp is back, and includes free playground and youth leadership programs
Blast off with activeOshawa this summer!
Recreation and Culture Services have announced its Summer Camp program offerings for 2022. This summer sees the return of many of their most popular in-person summer camps, including arts camp, dance camp, hockey camp, sport and swim camp, and more. View, download or print a copy of the 2022 Summer Camp booklet online at Oshawa.ca/camps.
There is also a free drop-in Playground Program for children ages 5 to 12. Play Leaders will provide fun and engaging opportunities at a variety of park locations within the City of Oshawa. Participants will play games, make crafts and enjoy other activities. This program will be available Monday to Friday from July 4 to August 26 at morning and afternoon playground locations. The Playground Program will not be available on Monday, August 1 – McLaughlin Day (Civic Holiday). To learn more about the Playground Program, visit Oshawa.ca/play.
Youth Leadership Programs are back and in-person this summer! Youth ages 12 to 16 will gain a variety of leadership skills in a fun and exciting recreation environment. Skills include program planning, child/group management, leadership techniques, games/activities, planning and communication skills.
Camp and Program registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022. Community members are encouraged to register online at register.oshawa.ca. To learn more, visit Oshawa.ca/camps.
