Oshawa’s Fiesta Week is back — but just as a Fiesta weekend this year.

“I am so excited. It means a lot to the City of Oshawa. This event is representative of everything that’s good and great about the City of Oshawa,” said regional Coun. Tito-Dante Marimpietri.

For more than 45 years pre-COVID, Oshawa’s Fiesta Week was a popular multicultural festival, celebrating the traditional music, dancing and food of many cultural communities that make up the city. The annual event would start with a traditional Father’s Day parade and concert in Memorial Park. For a full week, families could travel between 14 pavilions to eat and enjoy cultural performances.

This year, Fiesta Week will be held over Father’s Day weekend (June 18 and 19). The festival will take place at Memorial Park in downtown Oshawa with performances at the bandshell and kiosks set up for the cultural pavilions.
