The Whitby Chamber of Commerce is proud to host its third Black History Month event on February 2 at the at Ajax Convention Centre (550 Beck Crescent, Ajax).

Creating Community is a half-day event that will feature tremendous speakers, panels and networking opportunities. Creating Community is an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of Black community members; celebrate diverse voices; learn, share and grow; and to discuss supports available to the business community.

Join the Ajax Pickering Board of Trade, Clarington Board of Trade, Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce and Whitby Chamber of Commerce at this incredible Black History Month event. This half-day event will feature tremendous speakers and an opportunity to network. In addition to Isaac Olowolafe and Randell Adjei, a business panel will be on hand to discuss support available to the business community!

Diverse voices are needed. As a collective we have the power to move from the narrative of simply surviving to THRIVING. To create a new identity because our identity is our destiny.

Let’s reimagine our history, by creating a new identity built upon hope, achievement, contribution and success and serve as a power of example for others in our business community and beyond. It’s time to embark on this journey from a place of collaboration, unity and trust, and acknowledge the opulence, achievements and rich contributions of black community business members.

Join us for an event like no other. An opportunity for all of us, regardless of cultural background to collaborate, share, learn and grow.
