Whats your vision for Whitby? What do you think makes the Town unique? What are your top priorities for the community? The Town of Whitby and Council Members are working together to create a new Community Strategic Plan to help make Whitby an even better place to live, work, and play and they want to hear community input.

Once complete, the Plan will provide a shared Vision, Goals, and Objectives for how Town staff and Council will deliver on community priorities over the next four years, and beyond. The Plan will include measurable action items that the Town will report on annually to openly evaluate progress.

The first phases of engagement to help inform the development of the Plan includes two opportunities to get involved. Feedback collected during both phases will be used to develop Whitbys draft Community Strategic Plan to be presented to Council for final approval later this year.

  • Phase One (now open) complete an online survey by March 12 to help shape the Plans Vision and Strategic Pillars and be entered for the chance to win prizes
  • Phase Two engagement on the draft Community Strategic Plan for Whitby launching this April

“This Plan will help to shape the future of our community it will define what we aspire to and how we will get there. Its important that we hear from as many people as possible to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard and that the Plan is a true reflection of our community;s priorities”, statesElizabeth Roy, Mayor, Town of Whitby. Matt Gaskell, Chief Administrative Officer, Town of Whitby, added “This Community Strategic Plan will provide an important road map for how Town staff and Council will collaborate to deliver on the priorities that matter to our community. Feedback collected will build on what we have heard through other recent engagement projects, like the budget process, and help to define a vision and goals that we can drive forward together on behalf of our community.”
