There’s plenty happening in the Oshawa entertainment world this month, with music at the forefront, and also the Harlem Globetrotters are in town, as well as movie nights,educational lectures,and a primer on the solar eclipse are also on the calendar

Music fans will have their choice of musical genre to enjoy the month, as there are kids’ shows, classic rock concerts, new bands to be discovered, and the chance to see performers for what might be their last shows in Oshawa. Oshawa band The Doozies are playing one final show, Chubby Checkers is twisting the night away and who knows if the octogenarian will be back.

CHASING SHADOWS Preparing For The Solar Eclipse

Presented by: Ontario Tech University, Faculty of Science

Presentation by Dr. Rupinder Brar, senior teaching professor of astronomy and physics with Ontario Tech University’s Faculty of Science.

Join Dr. Brar to prepare and learn about Ontario’s upcoming total solar eclipse, occurring on the afternoon of Monday, April 8. Dr. Brar will engage and enlighten you on the science of eclipses and empower you to view the eclipse yourself safely. There won’t be another total solar eclipse passing through southern Ontario this century, so come get ready for this rare event!

This is a free event; everyone in attendance will get a pair of eclipse viewing glasses.
