The Town of Whitby is offering a full week of fun-filled activities to keep the kids busy. From swimming sessions to skating adventures, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during this break.

Here are some ideas to make the most of the week:

1. Make A Splash With Loved Ones

The pools at Iroquois Park Sports Centre and the Whitby Civic Recreation Complex are running March Break swimming from March 11 to March 17, 2024. Both locations offer a variety of drop in swim times to accommodate all schedules and ages.For more information and to view the swim schedules, visitwhitby.ca/swimming.

2. Hit The Ice, Ice, Baby

For those who prefer ice skating, lace up your skates and head to our arenas for March Break. Enjoy extra public skating sessions Monday through Friday. It’s the perfect opportunity to get ice time in or try the sport out for the first time.Check out the schedule.

3. Enhance Your Swimming Skills

Looking to enhance your swimming skills? Dive into March Break swim lessons!This weeklong program offers participants of all levels an opportunity to improve their swimming abilities and build confidence in the water.Register for swim lessons.

4. Shoot Some Hoops And Play Indoor Sports

Unleash your competitive spirit and join drop-in sports at the Brooklin Community Centre and Library. With a range of sports activities available, including basketball, volleyball, and badminton, there’s no shortage of things to do.View the drop-in sports schedule.

5. Hang Out With Your Friends Or Make New Ones

Looking for somewhere to spend time with your friends this March Break? If you are 12 to 18 years old and live in Whitby, come check out our free Youth Rooms. Each location has a pool table, TVs, computers, and a variety of video games (PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch). During March Break, the Brooklin Community Centre and Library Youth Room (8 Vipond Rd.) is open Monday through Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. and the McKinney Centre Youth Room (222 McKinney Drive) is open Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. The Henry Street High School Youth Hub(600 Henry Street) is closed during March Break.
