Uxbridge cyclists are encouraged to grab their helmet, hop on their bike and join a healthy, environmentally friendly and sustainable way to commute at an upcoming event. The Township of Uxbridge is making Bike to Work Day a community event this year. The township and the active transportation committee are encouraging residents to participate in the initiative that promotes less of a reliance on vehicles.

The committee will host a Bike to Work Day event in downtown Uxbridge at the Brock Street Parkette (beside the Circle K building) on Friday, June 6, from 8 to 10 a.m. Anyone riding their bike can stop by for refreshments and information on local active transportation. There will also be a helmet fitting station and a bike maintenance and adjustment station.
