The City of Oshawa and The Robert McLaughlin Gallery (RMG) are excited to present ARTBLOCK, a multi-faceted public art program for Convergence 2024.

The Convergence Music and Art Festival, presented by Oshawa Tourism, is taking place in downtown Oshawa on September 21, 2024. This festival celebrates Oshawas rich history of music and art by showcasing contemporary talents in our community. Convergence 2023 welcomed over 14,285 visitors to downtown Oshawa for interactive and culturally rich experiences.

This call for artists is seeking artworks for exhibition throughout the festival. Images and artworks selected will be printed and installed in A-frame signs. Images may be cropped, if required, to fit the dimensions of the signs, 24 inches wide and 36 inches tall.

Artists may submit up to a maximum of three images for consideration.

Artists will be asked to submit:

  • Artists contact information
  • Either: a website link or social media handle and bio
  • Print ready image(s) of artwork that must meet the following criteria: final display size is 27 inches by 22 inches, minimum 150 to 300 dpi, colour space Adobe 1998
  • Title of the artwork
  • CV (optional)
