July in Whitby offers a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy this summer.

Here are just some of the many activities and events to take part in next month:

1. Spend Canada Day at Victoria Fields Park

Join us at Victoria Fields (345 Watson Street) on July 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. for live music, food, entertainment, fun, and fireworks at 10 p.m. If you plan to use your own fireworks, remember they are only permitted on Monday, July 1 on private property from dusk until 11 p.m. Be safe, responsible, and considerate of your neighbours. 2.Attend an Outdoor Summer Concert

Listen to great music performed live by local musicians during Music in the Park. Join us every Wednesday starting June 26 at 7 p.m. at Rotary Centennial Park (800 Brock Street South) and every Thursday starting July 4 at 7 p.m. at Grass Park (41 Baldwin Street). 3.Enjoy a Movie Under the Stars

Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and popcorn, and join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars. Movies in the Park is back for two evenings in July. Join us on July 12 for Barbie and July 26 for The Parent Trap. Movies are shown on a large, outdoor screen with concert-quality sound at Whitby Civic Park starting at dusk. 4.Enjoy New Guided Walking Food Tours

Whitby is home to a variety of excellent restaurants and breweries. Explore our communitys thriving culinary scene and connect with other foodies through our new Guided Walking Food Tours in Downtown Brooklin (with tours in Downtown Whitby to come later this summer). 5. Visitthe Whitby and Brooklin Farmers Markets

Shop outdoors for fresh local produce, baked goods, unique handmade products, and tasty treats. The Whitby Farmers Market runs every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Celebration Square (in front of the Whitby Public Library). The Brooklin Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3 Vipond Road Brooklin (near the Brooklin Community Centre and Library). For more information, visitwhitbyfarmersmarket.ca.

6. Discover Whitbys Public Art

Stop by Roebuck Street in Brooklin and check out this year’s Road Mural theme Field to Fork painted by a local artist. 7.Attend the Greek Summer Night Culture Pop-Up

8.Explore Whitbys Trails

Spend time outdoors and explore one of our many trails. Walk through Lynde Shores Conservation Area or go for a bike ride along the Whitby waterfront. For a full list of our trails, visitwhitby.ca/Trails.

9.Attend the Whitby Ribfest

Ribfest is returning to Whitby this month. Join in the festivities on July 12, 13, and 14 at Victoria Fields (345 Watson Street W, Whitby). Enjoy award-winning ribs, a variety of vendors, rides and games, and live entertainment. To learn more, visitWhitbyRibfest.com.

10.Attend a Drop-in Recreation Program

The Town of Whitby offers a number of drop-in recreation programs throughout the summer, including drop-in basketball and pickleball. Havent tried these sports before? Nows your chance to learn something new! For locations, times, and fees, visitwhitby.ca/DropinSports.
