1.Attend an Outdoor Summer Concert

Listen to live music performed by local musicians during Music in the Park. Join at 7 p.m. at Rotary Centennial Park (800 Brock Street South) for two nights (August 12 and 24) and at 7 p.m. at Grass Park (41 Baldwin Street) for three nights (August 8, 15, and 22). Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and popcorn, and join for an unforgettable evening under the stars. Join on August 9 for Kung Fu Panda 4 and August 30 for Wish. 3.Enjoy a Sunset Tango at the Waterfront

Come dance in an open-air style event on the pier near Rotary Sunrise Lake Park on August 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Be treated to a professional tango performance by Tango Soul and take in a short lesson accompanied by the live music of the Paul Grecco Trio. 4. Visitthe Whitby and Brooklin Farmers Markets

Shop outdoors for fresh local produce, baked goods, unique handmade products, and tasty treats. The Whitby Farmers Market runs every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Celebration Square (in front of the Whitby Public Library). 5. Visit Town Brewerys Pop-up at The Whitby Pumphouse

Spend some time by the waterfront at Town Brewerys pop-up at the Whitby Pumphouse (269 Water Street, Whitby). The pop-up is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on holiday Mondays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

6. Go Shopping in Downtown Whitby

7. Enjoy Local Trails and Local Music

Bring your headphones and scan the QR code on signs along Cullen Park Trail, Heydenshore Park Trail or D’Hillier Park Trail to enjoy a soundtrack accompaniment featuring the work of local musicians Mark Wylie, Rob Tardik, the Doozies, Crown Lands and more as you walk.
